Fall Training Overview

Fall Soccer Skills Training Program

Program Introduction and Groups

The 2013 edition of the Fall Program will consist of following training sessions.  The age groups for the program will reflect those of the 2014 age grouping. Each age group has limited spots and we encourage you to register as soon as possible.

The Fall Camp will be held this year at Hillcrest High School and Franco High School. There will be six sessions on September 14th, 21st, 28th and October 5th, 19th, and 26th.

***Registration will be open on June 15th 2013

U5-U6: Players Born in 2008 and 2009

Program Description:  individual player skills.

The program will be an extension to our successful DSP program, which provides the first steps to anyone who wants to fall in love with the game of soccer. Training will follow the Long Term Player Development program of the Canadian Soccer Association. Training will focus on individual player attributes and the ABCs (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed) of athletic development. The ABCs are essential to developing athletes who can then go on to be good soccer players.

Time: Boys and Girls 10:30am to 11:30am

Cost: $45

U7 – U8: Players born in 2006 & 2007

Program Description:  individual player skills.

The program will be an extension to our successful DSP program, which provides the first steps to anyone who wants to fall in love with the game. Training will follow the Long Term Player Development program of the Canadian Soccer Association. Training will continue to focus on individual player attributes and the ABCs (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed) of athletic development. The ABCs are essential to developing athletes who can then go on to be good soccer players.  The emphases will continue to be on individual player development rather than team development,

Time: Boys 9:30am to 11:00am, Girls 12:00pm to 1:30pm

Cost: $55

U9: Players born in 2005

Program Description: The program will provide a bridge for players who want to enter the club LTPD (Long Term Player Development) program while also making sure every participant is enjoying the game. There will be a parents meeting discussing options for DSP and LTPD program.

Training will follow the Long Term Player Development program of the Canadian Soccer Association and Eastern Ontario Development League (EODL). Training will focus on individual player attributes and the ABCs (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed) of athletic development. The ABCs are essential to developing athletes who can then go on to be good soccer players. The emphases will continue to be on individual player development which is so important during this Golden Age of Learning (8-12 years of age) rather than on team development.

Time: Boys 9:30am to 11:00am, Girls 12:00pm to 1:30pm

Cost: $55

U10: Players born in 2004

Program Description: The program will continue to stress individual player development and the Canadian Soccer Association Long Term Player Development (LTPD) program while ensuring every participant continues to love playing soccer.

Training will focus on individual player attributes and the ABCs (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed) of athletic development. The ABCs are essential to developing athletes who can then go on to be good soccer players. The emphases will continue to be on individual player development which is so important during this Golden Age of Learning (8-12 years of age) rather than on team development,

Program Description: The program will continue to stress individual player development and the Canadian Soccer Association Long Term Player Development (LTPD) program while ensuring every participant continues to enjoy playing soccer.

Training will continue to focus on individual player attributes and the ABCs (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed) of athletic development. The emphases will continue to be on individual player development which is so important during this Golden Age of Learning (8-12 years of age) rather than on team development.

Time: Boys 9:30am to 11:00am, Girls 12:00pm to 1:30pm

U12: Players born in 2002

Program Description: The program will continue to stress individual player development and the Canadian Soccer Association Long Term Player Development (LTPD) program while ensuring every participant continues to love playing soccer.

Training will continue to focus on individual player attributes and the ABCs (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed) of athletic development. While the emphases will continue to be on individual player development this program will serve as an introduction to full field soccer to assist players in making a smooth transition from mini soccer to the full field,

Time: Boys 9:30am to 11:30am, Girls 12:00pm to 2:00pm

U13: Players born in 2001

Program Description: This program is for players who are thinking of joining Competitive soccer or for competitive players for whom this program will offer them the right environment to acquire and develop new skills and confidence.

The principles of Long Term Player Development will continue to be followed with emphasis on individual player development and small group team tactics.

Time: Boys 9:30am to 11:30am, Girls 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Cost: $75

BU14+: Players born in 2000 & up

Program Description: the emphases of this program will be to continue to follow the Long Term Player Development model of player development. There will however be more emphases on small group team tactics. This program can be tailored to the group.

Time: 9:30am to 11:30am

Cost: $75

GU14: Players born in 2000

Program Description: the emphases of this program will be to continue to follow the Long Term Player Development model of player development. There will however be more emphases on small group team tactics. This program can be tailored to the group.  A select group will be having a camp where they will be selecting a squad for winter training. This camp is designed for players in playing and training at the highest level.

Time: 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Cost: $75

GU15: Players born in 1999

Program Description: the emphases of this program will be to continue to follow the Long Term Player Development model of player development. There will however be more emphases on small group team tactics. This program can be tailored to the group.

A select group will participate in a camp where the Coaches will be selecting a squad for winter training.  The camp is designed for players who are interested in playing and training at the highest level.

Time: 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Cost: $75

GU16 & 17: Players born in 1998 & Up

The program will provide the opportunity for players to refine their skills. Emphasis will be on small sided games to develop small group and team tactics as well as continuing with individual skill development.

Time: This will depend on interest

Cost: $75

 

“A trip to Philadelphia is planned if there is sufficient interest, whereby players will have a chance to play in a number of exhibition games at the conclusion of the program. Over the past years the girls’ teams have had the opportunity to travel and enjoy a fun weekend in Philadelphia and play some exhibition games with the Quakertown Soccer Club.  There will also be a training session run by a high level coach from the Quakertown Soccer Club.”

 

Refund Policy:

Less Admin fee of $25 before the start of the program.  No refund after the program has started.
